Year 3 had a fantastic visit to Halifax bank in Cosham. The children learnt all about the various products and services that a bank can offer. They had demonstrations in how to use internet banking, how to withdraw money and of course very importantly how to deposit money!!!!
The children were shown how to write a cheque and all students carried out this exercise. The students were delighted to see their work, which had been completed previously in class, was displayed in the window of Halifax. This was a valuable exercise for the children to understand money and to transfer some of the theoretical skills they have been learning in the classroom into real life.
A big thank you to Mrs Adamescu, who works in the bank as she gave 4 wonderful tours and demonstrations and also visited us in school to complete the preparation work, the children really had a wonderful time.
