On Wednesday the 6th of June Mayfield's year 9 sports leaders were at the Mountbatten Centre leading different events at the year 5/6 quad kids event. There were 14 schools taking part and every single student participated in all the sports events out on the athletics track.
The events included were:
60m Sprint
600m Run
Girls and Boys Long Jump
Girls and Boys Howler throw
Boys and girls relay
The sports leaders each ran an event making sure all students completed the activity correctly and to the best of their ability and recorded their score which was put into a spreadsheet to give each participant a total of points for the day across all of the activities.
The sports leaders worked really hard and were great role models to the younger students competing. The whole event was a great success for all involved.
