Infant Family Learning Week

All parents want their children to do well at school and to succeed. However, many parents say that they are not sure about how to best help their children learn at home. Everything seems to have changed since your own schooldays, and you don't want to confuse your children by using different methods to their teacher. Infant Section Family Learning Week at Mayfield can help. During the week beginning 7th November, parents of infant children are invited to visit and take part in a variety of lessons delivered in their child’s class. These sessions will give you the opportunity to find out how things are taught in your child's school whilst working alongside them.

Bookings for Family Learning Week are now open via the Online Booking System.

Next week, there are also two Parents Information Meetings about how you can help your child to learn at home:

• Tuesday 8th November at 3.40pm – Supporting your child in Year R
• Thursday 10th November at 3.40pm – Supporting your child in Year 1 and 2 and preparing for the KS1 SATS

There is no need to book for these sessions and you are welcome to bring your children with you.
