The Primary children have been set a Winter Reading Challenge for this half-term. Each child has been set a target to read at home at least five times per week for each week of this half-term. Pupils in Year 3 and 4 are able to record this reading for themselves in their planners. The reading at home for children in Years R, 1 and 2 needs to be recorded by the parents in the planner. Every child who completes this challenge will be invited to a special Reading Reward Tea at the end of this half-term and will be awarded one of the Mayfield Winter Reading Challenge certificates. Please encourage your child to take responsibility for their reading and to be part of this challenge for Spring 1.
