Years 7 and 8 Athletics Team Competed In The Portsmouth Schools Athletics Championships

On Thursday 28th of June our year 7 and 8 athletics team competed in the Portsmouth schools athletics championships. Each student took part in 1 track event and 1 field event. To finish the event the relay teams took part in 4 by 100m relay and then a mixed gender medley relay consisting of 100m, 200m and 400m runners. All the scores for both male and female were added together from all events.

In the extremely hot temperatures, the students competed to the best of their ability resulting in both the male and female teams coming 3rd overall out of all the secondary schools in Portsmouth. This was a fantastic result that showed just how talented the students are.
