On Thursday 15th September, one of Mayfield's ex-students, Jamie Donovan, came in to speak. He visited a Year 10 Business class to share what he did on his GAP year and how he made the most of it. He studies at Warwick University and shared with us how he manages the University life and how he makes sure he’s revising.
In the talk, Jamie talks about how in his GAP year, he wanted to become the world’s youngest person to ride around the world. He said that he made it to Greece in just a month! He talked about how he really enjoyed learning all the cultures and languages around the world and how the world really is beautiful. He also mentioned how traveling around the world was great for his Business lessons, learning how all the countries work their business.
The Year 10 students really enjoyed listening to Jamie and I think he inspired some of them to get traveling, we asked many questions and we hope to see him again soon!
