This trip saw students excel greatly from looking like the beloved Disney character 'Bambi' on ice on their first day to highly capable and certified skiers by the end of the week. The staff were hugely impressed not only by students' behaviour and resilience, but also by their teamwork. Seeing students push and motivate each other helped the group grow both athletically and in character.
The group also enjoyed a vast amount of evening activities including: ice skating, The Big Quiz and disco night, which once Rick Astley was played, had the dance floor filled with Mayfield students.
To the Year 11's, of which this will be their last Ski Trip with Mayfield School, we hope this provided the mental skills to help with your upcoming exams.
To other Mayfield students, we hope to share a similar experience with you in future years.
