Little Sunbeams 'All about me'

Today in class to end the topic of All About Me, we looked at and dissected a sheep’s heart.

The children were fascinated by this, and we found out some interesting facts about how the heart works. We talked about how the beating of the heart pumps blood around the body where the heart is situated behind the rib cage to keep it safe, but the best bit for the children was being allowed to explore the heart for themselves.
