British Values

The British Values of ‘democracy’, ‘individual liberty, ‘mutual respect’, ‘respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs' and the ‘rule of law’ are taught to students throughout the curriculum, as well as being a key focus within our pastoral programme (assemblies, tutor programme, personal development Days). In the senior section, Pupils are reminded of the British Values in their first PSHE lesson in Year 7, which are reinforced through their learning across all subjects. Within the pastoral programme, pupils consider how the British Values shape our society, as well as discuss and reflect upon how they contribute to a positive community for all.
